My new favorite toothbrush

I received this toothbrush to try out for the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I love love love it. For an electric toothbrush I’m obsessed with the simplicity of it. The button is right where your thumb is & easy to push, the brushes then vibrate for 2 minutes with 30 second pulses so you know when to move on and gives such a great cleaning. It’s easy to wipe down and the carrying case for it doubles as a stand. My favorite part is how easy it is to travel with! Pop the stand back on the top and you’re off for the weekend. Now that I’ve used this toothbrush I can’t go back to a regular one, I’ll be getting these for the family. Highly recommend!

Nice Toothbrush

This is a pretty nice toothbrush! After opening the packaging I absolutely loved that the toothbrush was in a nice clear sturdy container. It's so perfect to use the container when traveling or taking your toothbrush with you in the go, like work. The design of the toothbrush is pretty unique. The colors are so vibrant and welcoming. I appreciate that it does not look like just some regular old toothbrush. At first I wasn't impressed with how this the center to the tip of the toothbrush was designed but now I understand why. The thinness of the top half of the brush helps to navigate around the teeth and gums by allowing it to subtly bend, yet still sturdy. The power button to turn on the brush is a conveniently placed right where I need it. Once on, the toothbrush is timed to about 2 minutes, a nice feature for those of us who like to time our brushing. However, I usually brush a bit longer than 2 minutes. The power of the sonic vibration is just right, not too soft and not too intense. There are some silicone bristles along with the other bristles that make it a very comfortable brushing. I would, however, like for the head of the brush to be a bit wider. I found myself making sure I didn't miss spots on my teeth because the brush was wide. The replaceable battery, replaceable brush head feature, and app are fantastic!! The app helps to track your brushing routine, set reminders to switch brush heads, and allows you to earn rewards like a brush head. One key flaw I was a little annoyed by was the random times it will stop before the 2 minute brushing ends. Other than that, I say it is a nice toothbrush and I will definitely recommend it to anyone.

Travel Perfect Buddy

I received the Quip Sonic Battery Toothbrush to test through Stellar Reviews. I love a battery operated toothbrush as I have many dental Issues and concerns. I have been loyal in the past to a different brush, so I was nervous to try something different. The Quip brush is fabulous on many levels: 1) sleek, slim, pretty (!) design. 2) It is comfortable and feels so great in my hand. 3) It fits in my travel bag perfectly (no heavy charger to bring along) 4) low maintenance-I don’t need to charge it, it just works! 5) cleaning power- whoa! The bristles are soft and gentle, but they always seem to find something and leave my mouth extra clean. Almost don’t need dental floss it is such a through brushing! The timer aspect is great to know when to change quadrants. Overall, the brush itself is fantastic. The app, however, is not. No matter what I did, I could not get the app and brush to sync up. My techy husband tried and could not get it to do so either. I manually added the information for a few days and then honestly, it was not very interesting information being kept track of and I kept forgetting to enter (have other things on mind!!)

Nice oscillating toothbrush for kids

I was given this quip Kids Electric oscillating toothbrush to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel for my daughter who is about 6 years old. Opening the box she was excited to try it, she was also excited it was pink— her favorite color! I saw it came in other colors too, like purple, blue, and green which covers a lot of popular colors for kids. I was impressed that it had a smaller head to fit in her child sized mouth. I also like how it gently oscillates while she is brushing to help her clean her teeth better. We have not previously tried anything other than a manual toothbrush because all the traditional vibrating brushes are so rough and powerful I was worried about gum erosion. This one seems to do the trick safely. This brush also isn’t much bigger than a traditional toothbrush which is great for small hands. It also fits in the countertop brush cup or you can adhere it to any surface with the adhesive on the holder. Last week she went to grandma’s house and packing up the toothbrush was easy peasy- it comes with its own travel case! I would love if it had a brushing app to go with it to help guide her in brushing all the surfaces of her teeth. I know it vibrates every 30 seconds when it’s time to switch quadrants but for kids of her age, that’s a hard concept to grasp. Additionally I would like for the toothbrush to have a timer option longer than 2 minutes- like 2-1/2 minutes or something. I have not yet priced refill brush heads for the toothbrush yet so I don’t know what they run but assume they are similarly priced to other quip brush heads which is better than most kid electric toothbrushes which you have to throw away the whole thing and replace it completely. Overall I am satisfied with this brush and think it is great for kids to achieve better oral hygiene!

Nice upgrade to tooth brushing routine

I was pleasantly surprised by the Quip Sonic Battery Toothbrush. It’s a solid choice for an upgrade in my dental care routine. The vibrations provided a thorough clean, and my teeth felt smooth and polished after use. I didn’t feel like I had to keep brushing to get my teeth to feel clean. It also reduced the amount of flossing I do due to how thoroughly it cleaned my teeth. I would rate the brush an overall 8 out of 10. After using the Quip Sonic Toothbrush for a month, my teeth consistently felt cleaner. The brushing action of the brush didn’t require me to brush harder, just smarter since it helped remove plaque, which was nice. However, while it did a good job, I wouldn’t say it was a groundbreaking experience. When I compared it to my old manual toothbrush, the Quip Sonic Toothbrush definitely has its advantages. The vibrations give me a deeper clean that feels more effective, especially in hard-to-reach areas. That said, it’s not a night-and-day difference; I still think a manual toothbrush can get the job done if used correctly but I also know that it can damage my gums since I tend to scrub too hard. The design of the Quip Sonic Toothbrush is modern and fits well in my bathroom. I liked the built-in timer that encourages brushing for the recommended two minutes, and I found the standing tube it came in to be a convenient holder. On the downside, I encountered some issues with the app; it had bugs that made it less useful over time, so I eventually stopped using it. What I appreciate about this toothbrush is its practicality. It’s not bulky and feels comfortable in my hand, like a regular toothbrush. The vibrations help me avoid pushing too hard, which is a bad habit of mine that wears out brushes faster. However, I did notice that my hands still felt a bit tingly after using it, but not as much as other electric toothbrush which is a main reason I hadn’t made the switch to electric toothbrushes from manual. As for the brush head subscription program, I see the value in it and would consider signing up. It would remind me to replace my brush at the recommended dentist time. Overall, I think the Quip Sonic Toothbrush is a worthwhile addition to my routine, but it’s not the most amazing thing out there. It certainly helps, but it’s not life-changing.

Compact Gentile and Effective

The quip is awesome. I have struggled with the bulkiness and intensity of other electric toothbrushes. The quip solves those issues. The vibration is gentle, but very effective - my teeth feel super clean after brushing. It is compact and easy to travel with - basically the size of a normal toothbrush and like half the size of other electric toothbrushes, plus the stand can be used as a travel case. The timer is really nice. I never thought about how long I was brushing before, so it’s a nice built in reminder. The button to turn it on took some getting used to, but was second nature after a week. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to try the quip.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Love this sleek little toothbrush

The Quip Sonic Battery Toothbrush is a solid little toothbrush. It’s ready to go right out of the box and even comes with a cool adhesive strip on the backside so you can stick it to the mirror or any solid nonporous surface which is convenient if counter space is limited. When brushing, the toothbrush has a pause feature to indicate its time to change brushing location. The bristles are soft and the handle is simplified and sleek. I love the color too. My only wish is that this toothbrush was a bit more powerful as I did feel some teeth weren’t as clean as they could have been. Otherwise I really like this toothbrush. The cover acts as a convenient carrying case when traveling and the whole thing is very compact which is nice when traveling light. I haven’t needed to change batteries yet but swapping them out seems fairly straightforward. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending this, I thoroughly enjoyed trying this out .

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does quip compare to a manual or electric toothbrush?

quip combines the low cost, light weight, and simplicity of a manual brush with the guiding features and fresh feel of an electric. Positives we share with many electrics are soft nylon bristles, sensitive vibrations, 2-minute built-in timer, and 30-second pulses. Improvements we made are a longer 3-month battery life, better value (from $25), and affordable brush heads. We also ditched the extra modes, wires, and clunky chargers you don’t need to make quip perfect for every day, everywhere.

How is quip powered?

quip is powered by the same regular or rechargeable batteries as other electric brushes (AAA in our case). The difference with quip is its removable AAA battery that lasts for up to 3 months. Other electrics with locked-in batteries may force you to keep a useless brush even if they stop working, or simply add expense with a separate charging stand. But remember, the efficacy of your toothbrush isn’t defined by power itself, but by how well you follow a proper brushing routine.

Can I return quip if not satisfied?

If you don't absolutely love your quip, we accept returns within 30 days of purchase. You'll get a full product cost refund if you use your own label. Should you need a shipping label from our help team, shipping costs will apply for returns of up to four quips in the United States. quip subscriptions are optional and be canceled anytime.

Does my Sonic Toothbrush have a warranty?

Yes, the Sonic Toothbrush has a limited 1-year warranty that covers all manufacturing defects from the date of purchase through our website, authorized retailers, or received from an authorized dental professional (excluding normal wear and tear, product misuse/abuse, or lost items). We will replace a defective product or part(s), or will refund the purchase price in the event we cannot provide an equivalent replacement. Get support in our help center or start a return.

What are the shipping costs?

Basic shipping within the US for one-time purchases costs $5 but store orders that include a subscription ship free (ETA: 4-9 Business Days). Priority shipping is for $12 (ETA: 3-4 Business Days). Express shipping is for $25 (ETA: 1-2 Business Days). International shipping on starter sets is $15 and takes an estimated 15 business days (Canada - $10 USD, ETA 6–12 Business Days). Automatic refill shipments will incur an additional shipping fee. For more details on shipping fees, see here.

What is the difference between sonic and oscillating toothbrushes?

Sonic toothbrushes use high-speed vibrations to create a dynamic cleaning action that moves fluid between teeth, providing a gentle yet deep clean. Oscillating toothbrushes, like quip’s 360 Oscillating Toothbrush, utilize rotating and pulsating movements to scrub each tooth surface effectively. Both sonic and oscillating toothbrushes are effective and great for sensitive teeth and gums. The original quip Sonic Toothbrush is great for those switching from a manual toothbrush to an electric toothbrush, while the quip 360 Oscillating Toothbrush is better for targeted plaque removal and cleaning hard-to-reach areas.

Do dentists recommend sonic toothbrushes?

Yes, dentists often recommend sonic toothbrushes like quip's Metal Sonic Toothbrush for their ability to provide a gentle yet thorough clean. The high-frequency vibrations help remove plaque effectively and promote healthy gums while being safe for sensitive teeth. Additionally, features like a 2-minute timer and 30-second quadrant pulses ensure you brush for the dentist-recommended duration and cover all areas evenly.

What are the key differences between the metal and plastic toothbrushes?

The key difference between quip's metal and plastic toothbrushes lies in their materials and design. While both metal and plastic are sleek, durable, lightweight, and ergonomic, metal has a more premium corrosion-resistant handle. The plastic toothbrush, on the other hand, is our most budget-friendly option, while still offering the same effective brushing technology. Both toothbrushes have a long lifespan with features like a 2-minute timer, 30-second quadrant pulses, and replaceable brush heads, ensuring a great oral care experience regardless of the material.

Sonic vs Oscillating, which is better for you?

It depends on your brushing needs and preferences. Sonic toothbrushes, like quip’s Metal Sonic Toothbrush, are perfect for manual brush users transitioning to electric. The sensitive vibrations work best with a manual back-and-forth brushing technique, offering a gentle yet effective clean. Oscillating toothbrushes, such as quip’s 360 Oscillating Toothbrush, excel at reaching tight spaces with their small, rotating head. They include three modes for varying needs, from sensitive mouths to those wanting extra power. Use a slow gliding technique with no scrubbing, letting the brush do the work. Choose sonic for simplicity or an intro to electric brushing, or oscillating for precision and versatility.

Is this metal sonic toothbrush eco-friendly?

Yes, quip’s Metal Sonic Toothbrush is designed with sustainability in mind. The durable metal handle is built to last, reducing waste compared to disposable alternatives. Its replaceable brush heads further minimize plastic usage, as only the head is swapped out every three months rather than the entire toothbrush. Additionally, quip’s packaging is recyclable paper, aligning with eco-friendly practices. This makes it a great choice for users looking to prioritize both effective oral care and environmental responsibility.
